Winter Sound Meditation & Birthday Wishes

So This Is What My Spine Looks Like
Vulnerability: 2025's Final Lesson

On the left you'll see a healthy spine and on the right is my spine. My spine is clearly doing way too much. It's been like this since at least adolescence. I went to the doctor when I was 19 and they tested a lump on my side for cancer. It wasn't cancer. I asked that they keep testing to find out what it was. They told me it was fat. I asked why it was only on on side. Doctor shrugged and sent me home. One x-ray could have saved me over 20 years of pain and suffering. I'm too tired to be angry. I just want to get well.

This undiagnosed ailment is why I got into sound healing. I was looking for anything to support me with the anxiety, depression, and pain the I'd seemed to be plagued with. I tried everything I could find and sound seemed to be the only thing that offered sustained relief. I addressed many of the symptoms from IBS and acid reflux to anxiety. I started working for myself so I could have more flexibility with my schedule. I even developed a new approach to sound healing utilizing haptic equipment to reduce the amount of instruments I needed to carry around.

There were only a few symptoms that I could not address through sound, medicinal herbs, exercise, and other diet and lifestyle changes. Menstrual cramps because my pelvis is tilted to the left and a pain in my left shoulder because the top of my spine is curving forward. This is how I ended up at the chiropractor around one month before my 43rd birthday and learned that I had scoliosis. I am a few weeks into treatment and already experiencing relief including NO MENSTRUAL CRAMPS!!!!

And there's more good news!

We purchased 33 acres of property in the small village of Berry Creek/Brush Creek in the Plumas National Forest, northeast of Lake Oroville in Butte County. This is off of the historic Beckwourth Pass which was trailblazed in the mid 1800s by Black mountain man and pioneer James Beckwourth. Our usage includes healing and restorative retreats, sustainable workshops, off-grid living, land restoration and maintenance, replanting trees (this area was impacted by the 2020 Northcomplex fires and is also in need of healing.) We heal the land, the land heals us, we heal together. Seeking folx for volunteer and work exchange opportunities.

This brings us back to the theme, Vulnerability. There is no way for to do this on my own. I need support.
